The Ruger SFAR rifle with an 18" barrel is a self-repeating design based on the popular AR-10 platform, and is a version adapted to .308 Winchester caliber (7.62x51 mm) ammunition. This rifle will be an excellent choice, both for all kinds of dynamic competition and tactical and hunting shooting. It features low weight, interesting design and high precision thanks to its thick barrel. Thanks to the linear alignment of the flask with the barrel and the automation system using direct gas injection into the slide, the carbine has a reduced recoil sensation. Compatibility with the Mil-Spec standard and a front bed equipped with an M-LOK mount along with a 22mm Picantinny rail provide a wide range of options for modifying the weapon to suit personal preferences.

Principle of operation of the carbine
The Ruger SFAR is based on the classic gas system developed by ArmaLite. It uses gunpowder gases that, through a hole in the barrel and then a gas tube, enter the interior of the slide, expanding it and unclogging it. The advantage of such a system is the reduced weight of the moving assembly, reduced recoil sensation and smooth operation of the breech. The weapon is bolted by rotating the breech with 6 symmetrical bolts. The breech and trigger chamber, standard for AR-15 carbines, is made of milled aluminum coated with a durable coating created by the anodizing process.
Safeties and manipulators
The rifle has two types of safeties. The primary one is a winged safety located on the trigger chamber, just above the thumb. It can be easily operated by the shooter without taking his hand off the grip. The second safety is a locking device that prevents the shooter from firing when the lock is not engaged.
Compatibility with military specifications
The carbine has been made to Mil-Spec specifications, so you can easily replace the buttstock, pistol grip, foregrip, manipulators, trigger tongue in it with others. The rifle is a great choice for those planning to extensively modify the weapon. It will also be perfect for long-distance precision shooters and hunters.
Precision varmint barrel
The Ruger SFAR is equipped witha thick varmint barrel measuring 18 inches in length. Its surface has been nitrided, for protection against factors like corrosive effects of gunpowder gases and water. The barrel ends in a thread with a factory-installed Ruger 2-port Boomer flame suppressor . The front bed with angles at 3, 6 and 9 o' clock has M-LOK standard holes. With their help you can easily install additional accessories like a flashlight, foregrip, angle grip or additional sighting device. Through the entire length of the lock chamber and the bed is drawn a 22 mm rail for mounting sighting devices in any configuration.
