TheRock River Arms LAR-15 is an American self-revolving carbine based on the popular AR-15 platform. It is adapted to 5.56x45 mm (.223 Rem.) caliber ammunition and has a 7" (17.78 cm) long barrel. The carbine will be an excellent choice for tactical and dynamic shooters due to its reduced weight. The thread pitch of the barrel is 1:8" and allows the use of both light and heavy bullets. It is worth noting that all parts of the weapon are made of the best materials, and the individual components ensure trouble-free operation. The carbine is characterized by foldability and high maneuverability. The use of a gas system with direct injection of powder gases into the slide has reduced the feeling of recoil. Compatibility with the Mil-Spec standard and a front bed equipped with an M-LOK mount and a 22mm Picantinny rail give a wide range of possibilities to modify the weapon according to personal preferences.

Principle of operation of the carbine
The LAR-15 is based on a classic gas system developed by ArmaLite. It uses gunpowder gases, which, through a hole in the barrel and then a gas tube, enter the interior of the slide, expanding it and unclamping it. The advantage of such a system is the reduced weight of the moving assembly, reduced recoil sensation and smooth operation of the breech. The weapon is bolted by rotating the breech with 6 symmetrical bolts. The 8620 steel slide has been chemically hardened. The lock itself is made of 158 high-carbon steel.
Safeties and manipulators
The rifle has two types of safeties. The primary one is a winged trigger safety located on the trigger chamber, just above the thumb. It can be easily operated by the shooter without taking his hand off the grip. The second safety is a firing lock when the lock is not engaged.
Compatibility with military specifications
The carbine was made in Mil-Spec-compliant specifications, so you can easily replace the buttstock, pistol grip, foregrip, manipulators, trigger tongue in it with others. The weapon is a great choice for those who plan to make intensive changes to the internal parts of the weapon. It will also be perfect for those beginning their adventure with dynamic shooting.
Rock River Arms carbine barrel
The LAR-15 carbine is equipped with a thin-walled barrel with a length of 7 inches and a thread pitch of 1:8. Its surface has been chrome plated to protect it from the corrosive effects of powder gases and water. It is finished with a ½ x 28 thread with A2 flame suppressor. The openwork front bed with angles at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock has holes in the M-LOK standard. With their help, you can easily install additional accessories like a flashlight, foregrip, angle grip or additional sighting device. At the front and rear of the bed two short sections of 22mm rail were applied for sighting instruments.
