The book "Handbook of a game selector" is a collection of educational and training materials of the author, based on seminars, lectures and exercises conducted for hunters and students. It is an excellent handbook especially for novice hunting students preparing to obtain selector licenses and for young selectors.
The publication contains key information on the biology and behavior of game, the cycle of antler and horn development, their valuation according to CIC formulas, the principles of assessing the correctness of shooting male deer and mouflon, as well as determining the age of game before and after shooting. A separate chapter is devoted to monitoring game populations and hunting planning, emphasizing the importance of knowing the effects of hunting selection. This part of the book will also be helpful to experienced hunters and members of hunting club boards.
The study is intended not only to help candidates prepare for the selection exam, but also to support them in their day-to-day tasks of hunting and wildlife population management.
