Lens cleaning instructions
Preparation
Before cleaning Shield Sight collimators, all debris and dirt must be removed from the lens to avoid scratching the lens. We recommend using compressed air to blow out the dirt instead of wiping the lens.
Cleaning
The best way to clean the lens is with hot soapy water. You can also use a mild dish liquid. Using a cotton swab soaked in the liquid, gently start wiping the surface. Use the stick only for one wipe of the lens. Change it after each full wipe to make sure contaminants are not spread over the lens. We recommend starting at the edge of the lens and moving to the center.
This process can be used for both glass and polymer lenses.
