ATA Turqua Thumbhole M caliber 6.5 Creedmoor rifle

Product description

The ATA Turqua Thumbhole M is a repeating rifle adapted to the 6.5x48mm Creedmoor caliber, which is a modern shooting platform designed to maximize shooting performance in a variety of conditions. Its design is characterized by a classic appearance based on an elegant wooden stock, high ergonomics and a butt with a thumb hole. What's more, the breech pull handle only rotates at a 60-degree angle, which speeds up the reloading process. At the end of the barrel is located a thread for mounting a sound suppressor.

Features of the ATA Turqua Thumbhole M rifle:

  • The rifle is a simple repeating design with a 4-barrel lock that reloads after each shot is fired.
  • The structure has been designed to be as light as possible and with exceptional elegance.
  • The lever used for reloading rotates only 60 degrees, which speeds up reloading the cartridge.
  • The weapon has a safety located on the right side of the barrel, just above the thumb, and an additional indicator of a tight firing pin.
  • The polymer magazine is placed inside the stock, so the line of the weapon is not disturbed.
  • It is equipped with a 22mm mounting rail and fixed mechanical sights.
  • The grip and the front bed are equipped with non-slip texturing.
  • The rifle has the option of installing a sound suppressor.
  • The magazine has a capacity of 3 and 5 cartridges.

The principle of operation of the ATA Turqa rifle

The operation of the rifle is based on a simple solution using a bolt-action lock. The shooter manually reloads the weapon after each shot, by pulling the reloading lever upward and then backward. This results in the ejection of a shell. The reverse process then selects a cartridge from the magazine and loads it into the barrel chamber.

Magazine in an assault rifle

A certain innovation in the ATA Turqa rifle is that it is equipped witha slim magazine made of plastic, which, when placed in the socket, does not protrude beyond the contour of the weapon. It has a capacity of 3 or 5 cartridges of 6.5 mm.

Safeties and manipulators

The rifle has two types of safety devices. The primary one is a slide safety located behind the breech on the right side of the weapon. It can be easily operated by the shooter without taking his hand off the grip. The second safety is a firing pin lock that prevents the firing of a shot when the breech is not cocked. The safety also serves as a lever to disassemble the weapon for cleaning.

Aiming instruments in the ATA Turqua rifle

The ATA Turqa uses mechanical sighting instruments. They include a simple fiber-optic musket and a pinniped, which act as spare targeting instruments. The main element is a 22mm Picantinny mounting rail located on the locking chamber. With its help you can install any type of optical or electronic sight.
