Principle of operation of Diana R-22
The operation of the carbine is based on a simple solution using a bolt-action lock . The shooter manually reloads the weapon after each shot, by pulling the reloading lever upward and then backward. This results in the ejection of the cartridge. The reverse process selects a cartridge from the magazine and loads it into the barrel chamber.
Magazine for 10 cartridges
The carbine has a narrow magazine made of plastic, which must be placed in the socket of the stock. It has a capacity of 10 .22 LR cartridges.
Safeties and manipulators in the Diana R-22 carbine.
The carbine has two types of safety features. The primary one is a manual safety located behind the lock of the weapon. It can be easily operated by the shooter without taking his hand off the grip. The second safety is a lock that prevents the shooter from firing when the lock is not engaged.
Targeting instruments of the carbine
The Diana R-22 carbine is devoid of factory-installed sighting instruments. The main element is a 22mm Picantinny mounting rail located on the lock chamber and an additional rail on the bed. With its help, you will install any type of optical sight or weapon accessory such as a laser recoil or flashlight.
