To get the most out of the properties offered by its food thermos, Esbit suggests "formatting" the thermos before use. If you plan to transport hot items - before placing them in the thermos, fill it with hot water for about 4 minutes, then pour out the water and place the food. An analogy should be done for cold things (fill the thermos with very cold water).
The dinner thermos is equipped with a leak-proof closure with a button, which allows to equalize the pressure inside - this protects against spills and makes it easier to open. The included lid can be used as a bowl.
