D2 steel blade - durability you can rely on
At the heart of the Broadside is a 76mm long Spear Point profile head, made of durable D2 steel, prized by professionals. D2 is a carbon steel with superior corrosion resistance, which cuts extremely aggressively, has excellent retention (ability to hold sharpness) and is highly resistant to wear and damage. D2 is a great alternative to expensive premium steels because it has great cutting properties, is hard and highly resistant to abrasion.
Its sharpening requires a lot of work and a suitable sharpener (preferably diamond), but this is compensated by long edge retention and less frequent sharpening.
Button-Lock used
The knife blade is locked by a simple and robust Button-Lock. A spring is located under the lock button, exerting pressure on the folding element to avoid accidental folding of the blade.
The knife opens with a thumb stud on both sides, and the opening of the knife is instant thanks to the KVT system on ball bearings - a slight movement of the thumb is all it takes for the knife to be ready for action.
Lightweight handle and discreet carry - EDC with class
The handle is made of anodized 6061-T4 aluminum, which guarantees lightness, strength and comfort. Its gentle profiling fits perfectly in the hand, while the matte black anodized finish adds a modern, tactical touch.
Thanks to the Deep Carry clip, the Kindred folder almost disappears in your pocket, remaining easily accessible whenever you need it. The lanyard hole is another feature that adds functionality and allows you to customize the knife to your preferences.
The Kershaw Kindred is a classic approach to a modern EDC knife - durable, elegant and designed with comfort in mind. It is an everyday companion that will not let you down at any time.
