The Springfield H11 Hellcat PRO OSP BLACK pistol in 9x19 mm caliber is one of Springfield's latest creations, being a compact pistol for everyday carry(EDC). The design is based on a lightweight polymer frame, a flailing striker-fired mechanism and the ability to install a collimator. The pistol's slim line and light weight(513 grams) allow it to be easily carried behind the belt of pants. The pistol is powered by an in-line magazine inserted into the handle with a capacity of 15 or 17 rounds .
Features of the Springfield H11 Hellcat PRO TSO pistol:
- It is a modern design, based on a cast polymer frame and a lightweight metal breech.
- The model is equipped with the possibility of installing a sight in the form of a collimator (Optics Ready).
- It is powered by a 15- or 17-round metal magazine that slides into the grip.
- It has mechanical sighting instruments in the form of a U-shaped sights and a bow tie. Both elements have bright dots.
- It will be ideal as a weapon for everyday carry and as a service pistol.
Action mechanism of the pistol
The H11 Hellcat PRO TSO is a modern design adapted to 9x19 mm centerfire ammunition. The high energy of the cartridge here forced the use of a massive lock and its locking mechanism. The principle of operation of the pistol is based on the short recoil of the barrel with its locking through vertical recoil (modified Browning system). A shell ejection window serves as the locking resistance. A strong return spring further reduces the sensation of recoil acting on the shooter. The trigger operates in single action (SA) mode.
Safety features and manipulators
The pistol is not equipped with external manual safeties. The primary one is an automatic safety, incorporated into the trigger tongue. It prevents accidental firing if the gun is dropped. The second is an internal firing pin lock that prevents the firing of a cartridge without pulling the trigger. The magazine release button is integrated into the base of the bail. Also located on the frame is a latch that drops the lock from its rear position after the last shot.
Targeting instruments and the possibility of installing a collimator
The Springfield H11 Hellcat has fixed mechanical sighting instruments in the form of a musket and a U-type scimitar with bright dots for easy alignment. In addition, there is a mounting plate on the breech for a collimator sight. It allows installation of the following models of collimators: RMSc Shield, J-Point, Trijicon MS03/MS04 and Leupold Delta Point.
The barrel used in the gun
A forged and chrome-plated 3.7" (93.9mm) long stainless steel barrel is used here.
Magazine and grip
The pistol has a metal magazine for 15 or 17 rounds + 1 in the chamber. The grip has an ergonomic angle and is covered with an anti-slip texture.
