The Gomander Hunter 6.5 OB Generation II suppressor for hunting rifles is an effective shot sound suppression device slid over the barrel (OB - Over Barrel). It was created specifically for use with hunting weapons, where it reduces game fouling. The suppressor is made of lightweight aircraft aluminum, which translates into low weight and good thermal conductivity(faster cooling). Additional coating of the silencer's surface with Cerakote protective coating provides protection against the adverse effects of the acidic environment created by gunpowder residues. Most important in the design is a system that reduces the return of powder gases back into the cartridge chamber and towards the shooter. This also makes the suppressor easy to clean.
