The strongest point of the Tikka series of rifles are the barrels, widely considered to be among the most accurate and durable barrels in serial production. The rifle uses a heavy, free-floating barrel that effectively eliminates vibration and does not overheat, even during intensive shooting. The barrels of the Varmint series are made of chrome molybdenum steel using the cold-forging method Holes are made on the cartridge chamber for mounting the optics assembly. The polymer stock has an enlarged pistol grip, fluted "fish scale" type soft rubber feet to reduce recoil energy and an adjustable cheek piece.
Sako Tikka T3X Super Varmint ideal weapon for hunting and sporting competitions
Shooting performance and comfort are provided by an enlarged shell ejector window, Teflonized lock, T3X system breech chamber, reinforced breech cover, improved steel bolt. The Tikka T3x has a rotary-slide lock equipped with two solid bolts. The opening angle of the lock is 70°, which makes it easy to mount the scope on a low base. The lock works extremely quietly and smoothly, and thanks to the ergonomically located reloading lever, the operation of the rifle is faster and more convenient. The rifle is powered by a single-row, detachable magazine with a capacity of 5 cartridges. A two-position safety, when activated, locks the trigger mechanism (with accelerator) and the operation of the breech lever. The trigger mechanism has an adjustable trigger force range of 10 N to 20 N (from about 1 to 2 kg).
