FN High Power Black is a modern self-reloading pistoladapted to 9x19 mm caliber. This model is a modernized and adapted to current quality standards version of the classic and already iconic Browning High-Power pistol . The design refresh was accompanied by the idea to adapt it to the requirements of the modern recreational and sports shooter . The changes that have been made include a refreshed appearance, lighter weight, redesigned barrel locking system and improved grip ergonomics. Apart from these changes, it is still a good old classic, characterized by great accuracy and reliable operation in all conditions .

Mechanism of action of the FN High-Power Black pistol
The High-Power is a classic weapon for 9x19mm centerfire ammunition. Due to its high energy, a massive lock and an operating principle based on a short barrel recoil with its locking by vertical recoil (a typical Browning system) were used here. A shell ejection window serves as the locking resistance(in the previous version this function was performed by resistances inside the breech). A strong return spring further reduces the sensation of recoil acting on the shooter. The trigger operates exclusively in single-action mode .
Safety features and manipulators
The gun has external manual safeties. The primary one is an adjustable wing fuse located on the frame. It prevents accidental firing by locking the firing pin. The second is an internal firing pin lock. The magazine release button is integrated into the base of the bail. Just above it is located a lever dropping the lock from its rear position after the last shot. A lever on the right side of the frame is used to unfold the weapon.

The pistol has mechanical sighting instruments in the form of a musket and an adjustable scimitar, and they have bright dots for easy alignment .
The barrel used in the pistol
A 4.7-inch-long forged barrel made of cold-forged steel was used here. It has a right-hand thread with a 1:10" pitch and 6 furrows.
Magazine and grip
The gun has a metal magazine for 10 or 17 rounds + 1 in the chamber. The grip has an ergonomic angle and has replaceable pads with anti-slip texturing .
