Sig-Sauer P320 version X-FULL is a modern self-reloading pistol fromSig Sauer, adapted to 9 × 19 mm caliber. This model was developed as a design to replace the Beretta pistols used in the US military. After winning the tender, the design was given a new official name - the M17. A distinctive feature of the pistol is the interchangeable trigger and breech guide assembly, which takes the form of an insert that slides into the skeleton of the pistol. Significantly, this is the key element of the weapon, on which the numbering is imprinted. Such a solution makes it possible to easily replace the skeleton with a different shape or color without registering another weapon. In addition, the P320 is based on proven design solutions that have become a standard among cockless short firearms. The model is available in black.
Features of the Sig-Sauer P320 X-FULL self-revolving pistol:
- It is a modern design with a metal breech and polymer frame.
- The trigger assembly and breech guides are in the form of a module that pulls out from the skeleton.
- It has an enlarged trigger bail, making it easier to shoot with gloves.
- The aggressive texture on the skeleton guarantees a solid and stable grip while shooting.
- The number of manipulators has been reduced to a minimum and comes in the form of a breech latch, magazine and stripping lever.
- Under the barrel is located a long Picantinny 22mm mounting rail for a flashlight, laser or trainer.
- Beveled bevels on the breech prevent the pistol from snagging when sliding into the holster.
- It is equipped with crisp, adjustable targeting instruments with dots.
- It is equipped with a cutout on the breech that allows the use of a microcollimator (Optics Ready)
- It has a magazine for 21 cartridges and a 4.7" (119.38 mm) long barrel.
Mechanism of operation of the pistol
The pistol is a classic weapon for 9 × 19 mm centerfire ammunition. Due to its high energy, a solid lock and an operating principle based on short barrel recoil with its locking by skewing it vertically (typical Browning system) were used here. A shell ejection window serves as the locking resistance. A strong return spring further reduces the sensation of recoil acting on the shooter. The striking mechanism is of the flail type .
Safety features and manipulators
The pistol has no external manual safeties. The primary one is an internal firing pin lock. The magazine release button is integrated into the base of the bail . Just above it is located a lever dropping the lock from its rear position after the last shot. To unfold the weapon, there are duplicated levers on both sides of the frame.
Targeting instruments and the Optics Ready system
The weapon has mechanical targeting instruments(X-Ray3 bow tie and Night Sight sights), and they are equipped with bright dots for easier aiming. This model has also been adapted to mount a modern form of sight in the form of a collimator ( Romeo 1 Pro or Leupold Deltapoint Pro, for example). Mounting is done on a notch in the breech via a suitable adapter. The collimator does not interfere with the simultaneous use of mechanical sighting devices.
The barrel used in the gun
The forged barrel used here is 4.7" (119.38 mm) long, made of stainless steel. It has a right-hand thread with 6 furrows.
Magazine and replaceable polymer frame
The gun has a metal magazine for 17 cartridges + 1 in the chamber. The grip has an ergonomic angle and is covered with an anti-slip texture . The skeleton can be replaced with a different one, more suited to the shooter's preferences.
