TheSig-Sauer P320 version of the M17 is a modern self-revolving pistol fromSig Sauer, adapted to the 9 × 19 mm caliber. This model was developed as a design to replace the Beretta pistols used in the US military. After winning the tender, the design was given a new official name - the M17. A distinctive feature of the pistol is the interchangeable trigger and breech guide assembly, which takes the form of an insert that slides into the skeleton of the pistol. Significantly, this is the key element of the weapon, on which the numbering is imprinted. Such a solution makes it possible to easily replace the skeleton with a different shape or color without having to register another copy of the weapon. In addition, the M17 is based on proven design solutions that have become a standard among chamberless short firearms. The model is available in FDE color.
Features of the Sig-Sauer M17 self-revolving pistol:
- It is a modern design with a metal breech and polymer frame.
- The trigger assembly and breech guides are in the form of a module that pulls out from the skeleton.
- It has an enlarged trigger bail, making it easier to shoot with gloves.
- The aggressive texture on the skeleton guarantees a solid and stable grip while shooting.
- The number of manipulators has been reduced to a minimum and comes in the form of a breech latch, magazine and stripping lever.
- A 22mm Picantinny mounting rail for a flashlight, laser or trainer is located under the barrel.

Action mechanism of the pistol
The pistol is a classic weapon for 9 × 19 mm centerfire ammunition. Due to its high energy, a solid lock and an operating principle based on short barrel recoil with its locking by vertical recoil (a typical Browning system) were used here. A shell ejection window serves as the locking resistance. A strong return spring further reduces the sensation of recoil acting on the shooter. The striking mechanism is of the flail type .
Safeties and manipulators
The pistol has two types of safeties. They include an adjustable wing fuse on the frame and an internal firing pin lock. The magazine release button is integrated into the base of the bail . Just above it is a lever dropping the lock from its rear position after the last shot. To unfold the weapon, there are duplicated levers on both sides of the frame.
Aiming instruments and the Optics Ready system
The weapon has adjustable mechanical sighting instruments. They are equipped with bright tritium dots for easy aiming. The model has also been adapted for mounting a modern form of sight in the form of a collimator. Mounting is done directly on the lock, on a special mounting plate. What's more, the installed sight does not interfere with the simultaneous use of mechanical sighting instruments.
The barrel used in the pistol
A forged 4.7" (119 mm) barrel made of stainless steel was used here. It has a right-hand thread with 6 furrows.
Magazine and replaceable polymer frame
The gun has a metal magazine for 17 cartridges + 1 in the chamber. The grip has an ergonomic angle and is covered with an anti-slip texture. The skeleton can be replaced with a different one, more suited to the shooter's preferences.
