Mechanism of operation of the Sig-Sauer P210 pistol
The pistol is a weapon for 9 × 19 mm centerfire ammunition. It uses a bolt-action lock and an operating principle based on a short barrel recoil with its locking by skewing it vertically (a typical Browning system). Longitudinal notches inside the upper surface of the breech, corresponding to the protrusions on the barrel, serve as locking resistances. A strong return spring further reduces the sensation of recoil acting on the shooter.
Safeties and manipulators
The pistol is equipped with two safety devices. The primary one is an adjustable wing fuse on the frame, while an additional one is an internal firing pin lock. An enlarged magazine release button has been integrated into the base of the breech. Just above it is located a lever dropping the lock from its rear position after the last shot, which also serves as an element for disassembling the weapon.
Precision targeting instruments
The weapon has fully adjustable mechanical targeting instruments. They come in the form of a bow tie and a scimitar with fiber optics for easier aiming.
The barrel used in the gun
A forged barrel of 5 inches (127 mm) in length made of stainless steel was used here.
The gun's metal magazine
The pistol has a classic for this design, metal and single-row magazine for 8 cartridges + 1 in the chamber of 9 × 19 Parabellum caliber.
