TheWalther Hammerli X-Esse SF IPSC Black is a .22 LR (5.6 mm) caliber precision self-reloading side-firing sport pistol. It features a solid and steel frame and lock. Mechanism of operation of the pistol

Safeties and manipulators
The gun has an adjustable wing fuse located in the rear of the breech. It is easily operated with the thumb. On the frame is located a lever dropping the lock from the rear position after the last shot. The magazine release is located at the base of the trigger bail.
