Walther PDP Compact F-SERIES Optics Ready in 9 x 19 mm caliber is a self-repeating and compact sporting pistol based on the PDP platform. The distinctive feature of the pistol is its all-metal frame. Walther PDP is a pistol with character
A sizable innovation of the Walther PDP Steel Frame here is also a port that allows direct installation of an MRDS collimator on the breech, which makes it possible to achieve the lowest possible aiming line. The gun as standard is adapted to the most significant trend in recent years in the modification of our weapons. The breech has also been equipped with SuperTerrain ribbing characterized by a thick, aggressive form that allows for effective reloading regardless of environmental conditions. The structure has been placed on both the rear and front of the breech, allowing the loading check to be conveniently performed.
Mechanism of operation of the PDP pistol
The PDP is a classic weapon for 9x19 mm centerfire ammunition. Due to its high energy, a massive breech and an operating principle based on short barrel recoil with its locking by vertical recoil (a typical Browning system) were used here. A shell ejection window serves as the locking resistance. A strong return spring further reduces the sensation of recoil acting on the shooter.
Solid steel frame and comfortable grip
The Walther PDP has a rigid steel skeleton that significantly reduces recoil, ensures smooth shooting, and guarantees excellent focus when shooting fast. The fully textured skeleton guarantees a firm grip even in a wet or dirty hand. The layout of the manipulators is extremely ergonomic, and the long breech drop lever allows for convenient one-handed operation should the need arise. The magazine release button can be flipped to the other side to accommodate left-handed users.
Safety features and manipulators
The gun has no external manual safeties. The primary one is an automatic trigger fuse, incorporated into the tongue. It prevents accidental firing in a situation where the gun is dropped. The second is an internal firing pin lock. The magazine release button is integrated into the base of the bail. Just above it is located a lever dropping the lock from its rear position after the last shot.

A 3.5" long forged barrel made of stainless steel was used here.
Magazine and comfortable grip
The gun has a metal magazine for 15 cartridges + 1 in the chamber. The grip has an ergonomic angle and is covered with an anti-slip texture.
