TheSabatti AR-15 S.A.R. is a self-repeating carbine in.223 Remington/5.56 × 45 mm caliber with an 18.5" barrel length. Structurally, it is based on the popular AR-15 platform and is fully compatible with it. The gun manufacturer, the Italian company Sabatti, has a multi-generational tradition dating back to the 17th century and is highly regarded in the shooting world, especially in long-range shooting. It is known for its precision, cold-forged MRR-type barrels, excellent triggers and aluminum deposits. It combines craftsmanship with modern technology, producing hunting, sporting and tactical weapons. The carbine shown here is equipped with an adjustable FAB Defence flask, an aluminum bed equipped with M-LOK mounts and a 22mm rail, as well as a barrel with a 1:9" thread pitch. Operating principle of the AR-15 carbine
The weapon is based on a classic gas system developed by ArmaLite. It uses gunpowder gases that, through a hole in the barrel and then a gas tube, enter the interior of the slide, expanding it and unlatching it. The advantage of such a system is the reduced number of moving parts, reduced recoil sensation and smooth operation of the breech. The weapon is bolted by rotating the breech with 6 symmetrical bolts. The breech and trigger chamber, standard for AR-15 carbines, is made of milled aluminum coated with a durable coating created by the anodizing process.
Safeties and manipulators on the Sabatti S.A.R.
The carbine has two types of safety features. The primary one is a winged safety located on the left side of the trigger chamber, just above the thumb. It can be easily operated by the shooter without taking his hand off the grip. The second safety is an internal lock that prevents the shooter from firing when the lock is not engaged.

Precision barrel with a length of 18.3"
The S.A.R. carbine is equipped with an 18.3" long chrome-plated barrel with a typical profile with a 1:9 thread. Its surface has been anodized to protect it from factors such as corrosive effects of powder gases and water. The barrel ends in a thread with a factory-installed flame suppressor (Bird Cage). The 2-screw front bed is equipped with a 22mm rail and M-LOK with angles at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock, with which you can easily install additional accessories such as a flashlight, foregrip, angle grip or additional sighting device. Also, a 22mm Picantinny rail is drawn across the entire length of the locking chamber .
