- Thread pitch of 1:8 - versatility of ammunition, easily handles bullets from 55 to 77 grains, guaranteeing precision and stability regardless of use: tactical, sporting or recreational.
- Lock and slide coated with DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon), DLC technology means extreme durability and smooth operation even without lubrication. Hardness of 90 HRC, 20 times lower friction and no carbon build-up - a gun that works reliably in dust, sand, snow and freezing temperatures.
- Carbine's gas system and precision gas bore, ensures flat carbine action and minimal recoil. It combines a short gas cycle with a performance culture you wouldn't expect from this barrel length. Ready for action with suppressor.
- Buffer H2 and Flat Wire spring, reduced recoil, smooth cycle and reliability in rapid fire. These are high-end solutions installed as standard.
- Heavy Duty Handguard bed - HDH M-LOK® in 6061-T6 aluminum, narrow, lightweight, rigid. Provides a large mounting area for a flashlight, sight, grip or bipod. Flattened lower portion facilitates shooting from the support. QD sockets allow any suspension configuration. Mounting on classic screws - easy to remove and resistant to overloading.
- SOPMOD B5 Systems flask, ergonomic support, comfort during prolonged use and practical compartment for spare CR123 batteries. Ready for any situation - from long patrols to training at the shooting range.

Ergonomics and functionality
DTF Rifleworks SHORTY 's proprietaryHeavy Duty Handguard (HDH) bed, made of 6061-T6 aluminum, provides a large mounting surface for accessories such as a foregrip, flashlight or bipod, without increasing the carbine's girth. The slim profile of the bed allows you to hold the weapon comfortably and securely, and the reinforcement around the barrel nut guarantees a rigid connection to the breech chamber. The SOPMOD-type flask with an internal compartment for spare CR123 cells and the B5 Systems P23 grip provide comfort and increase the functionality of the carbine.
Durability and reliability in all conditions
The lock and slide coated with DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) are characterized by extreme wear resistance and low coefficient of friction, which translates into reliable operation even in harsh conditions such as dusty or freezing weather. In addition, the use of an H2 buffer and a flat wire return spring makes the carbine work perfectly with suppressors, reducing the amount of gas discharged toward the shooter's face.
