MauserM18 Pure Max is a modern quality repeating hunting rifle. Mauser focused on creating a simple and functional weapon for hunting without unnecessary ornamentation in a pure form. At the same time, there was no lack of proven solutions combined with a classic appearance.
The rifle is powered by.30-06 Springfield ammunition (7.62 x 63 mm), being an ideal solution for hunters who need a solid , "workhorse". The weapon stands out not only for its reliability, but also for its excellent ergonomics, which translates into high precision and comfort of use. It can be said that it is the informal heir of the already legendary Mauser Kar-98K. The presented model has a barrel length of 51 cm.

The Max is a classic repeating rifle, based on a slide-turn (4-barrel) lock. Locking is carried out through 6 symmetrically located bolts, corresponding to the locking resistance in the barrel. Such a system is simple and robust, plus easy to clean and maintain. It also ensures high shooting precision and withstands various pressures of the ammunition used. After each shot the rifle must be reloaded.
Safeties and manipulators
The M18 rifle has two types of safeties. The primary one is a slide safety located in an intuitive place: at the rear, just above the thumb. It can be easily operated by the shooter without taking his hand off the grip. The second safety is a locking device that prevents the shooter from firing when the breech is not cocked. The reloading lever has an enlarged head so as to improve the process of firing fast shots .
Aiming instruments of the M18 rifle
No mechanical sighting devices were used in the rifle from the factory. The rifle is equipped with the possibility of installing any form of optics, thanks to mounting holes for the M98-type scope.
