Principle of operation of the Maverick 88 shotgun
The operation of the Pump-Action shotgun is based on a simple solution. The shooter, after firing each shot, must manually reload the weapon using a movable shuttle. Locking is carried out through a swinging bolt, which cooperates with a special notch on the extension of the barrel's cartridge chamber.
Tubular magazine with a capacity of 5 cartridges
The shotgun has a sub-locking tubular-type magazine. It is loaded through a window located at the bottom of the breech chamber. It has a capacity of 6 cartridges of 12/76 caliber plus 1 loaded directly into the cartridge chamber.
Safeties and manipulators
The Maverick 88 has one safety. It is a manual cocking safety located inside the breech, in the form of a button. It can be easily operated by the shooter without taking his hand off the grip.
Aiming instruments
The rifle is factory-equipped with a single form of mechanical sighting device, and it is a pointing musket. What's more, a longitudinal cutout on the breech chamber serves as a targeting aid .
