TheMossberg 590 A-1 XS is a Pump-Action repeating shotgun, which was made by the American brand Mossberg. The shotgun maintains all the standards of weapons produced by this company, with high quality of individual components. The presented version is equipped with a high fly and a sight on the breech chamber, the so-called Ghost Ring, with an additional 22 mm rail for a collimator. In addition, integrated loaders for 4 cartridges (on both sides) are placed in the flask . This rifle is characterized by its reliability and simplicity, already legendary among uniformed services. Operating principle of the Mossberg 590 A-1 XS shotgun
The operation of the Pump-Action shotgun is based on a simple solution. The shooter, after firing each shot, must manually reload the weapon with the help of a movable shuttle. Locking is carried out through a pendulum bolt, which cooperates with a special notch on the extension of the barrel's cartridge chamber.
Tubular magazine with a capacity of 8 cartridges
The weapon has a sub barrel tubular type magazine. Loading is done through a window located at the bottom of the breech chamber. It has a capacity of 8 cartridges of 12/76 caliber plus 1 loaded directly into the cartridge chamber.
Safeties and manipulators
The Mossberg shotgun has one safety, and that is a manual slide safety located at the rear of the breech chamber. It can be easily operated by the shooter with his thumb and without taking his hand off the grip.
Aiming instruments
The rifle is factory-equipped with mechanical sighting instruments and it is a high fly and an adjustable Ghost-Ring type sight. What's more, a 22mm mounting rail has been nanoed on the breech chamber, allowing the installation of a collimator .
