The flashlight's body is made of anodized aircraft-grade A6061-T6 aluminum, which contributes to its light weight and provides resistance to mechanical damage. The transverse moleting of the surface prevents the flashlight from slipping from the hand and gives it a modern look. The optical system is protected by a crown (raised head elements), which protects the glass in case of a fall or setting on an uneven surface. Thanks to the use of a spring clip (detachable), the flashlight can be attached and carried on a belt, by a backpack or bag, so that it is within easy reach when needed. The flashlight measures 153.5 mm, and its weight with the 21700 6000 mAh battery is 221 g, so it can not only be conveniently carried on a belt, but also mounted on a weapon without noticeably increasing the weight of the carbine. The Fenix TK21R meets the protection requirements of the IP68 class, which means that the flashlight is resistant to a drop from a height of 1 m, the penetration of dust and small solids, and complete immersion in water. With such functionality, the Fenix TK21R will be a reliable tool for tactical and outdoor applications.
The light source is a new generation LUMINUS SFT90 LED, emitting a maximum light output of 3600 lumens at a distance of up to 480 meters. The white color of the light reduces eye fatigue, provides more natural color rendition and better visibility of details.
The flashlight uses anti-reflective glass with high light transmission and SMO smooth reflector, allowing the light output to effectively illuminate objects up to 480m away. Fenix TK21R has a concentrated light stream with a strongly illuminated center of the scene. Such parameters allow to illuminate distant places, but also to work effectively in confined spaces, so the Fenix TK21R will be perfect for patrol and rescue operations. A flashlight with such power and range will be appreciated by all uniformed officers, firefighters and rescuers looking for uncompromising tools for work. Fenix TK21R is also a versatile hiking flashlight, a flashlight for hunters and a flashlight for military enthusiasts.

The flashlight is powered by a 21700 type cell with a capacity of 6000 mAh. The battery used has nearly twice the capacity of a standard 18650 cell, which obviously contributes to the flashlight's increased runtime.
The Fenix TK21R has a built-in USB-C port, which allows charging the cell without the need for an additional charger. All you need to charge it is a standard USB-C cable (included) and a power source such as a power bank, laptop, desktop computer or car USB charger. According to the manufacturer's information, the 21700 battery provides up to 150 minutes of total operation in 3600 lumens turbo mode. Charging the battery from 1% to 100% should not take more than 1.5 hours. The use of two springs in the battery compartment, guarantees stable operation and prevents power failures caused by falling or weapon recoil.
The flashlight offers 5 continuous light modes: turbo, high, medium, low, and 1 flash mode: strobe. This allows you to precisely adjust the light parameters to the situation and your own needs. To operate the flashlight, there are two buttons located on the back of the flashlight. The round tactical switch is used for quick activation of momentary or continuous light. The smaller oval function button is used to change the brightness and activate the strobe flash mode. Such functionality makes the TK21R flashlight user-friendly and convenient, and it will only take a few minutes to learn the interface. The TK21R flashlight uses an LED indicator to inform the user about the battery discharge level. A hidden LED, visible only when the head is partially unscrewed, provides real-time information about the battery level. The feature is only available when using the Fenix ARB-L21 21700 rechargeable battery.
Battery level indication:
- constant green light: 100-85%
- flashing green light: 85-50%
- steady red light: 50-25%
- flashing red light: 25-1%
The flashlight remembers the last used brightness level. When you turn it on again, the flashlight automatically activates in that mode(memory function). The flashlight also features IPO (Intelligent Overheat Protection), which protects against excessive heating of the flashlight surface (max. 60°C), and APF (Advanced Transmission Technology), which reduces the susceptibility of the electronics to interference.
APF technology in Fenix tactical flashlight
APF has made it possible to change the body design to a lighter and single-layer one. Until now, flashlights with a multi-function rear switch required a body with a two-layer construction for proper conductivity, which increased the flashlight's weight and required more complicated manufacturing.
The implementation of the APF facilitates a brightness of more than 2,200 lumens and enables the use of mechanical and digital switches. In addition, thanks to the transmission of the setting change signal (from the rear button to the driver board) via the body and resistance to magnetic fields, flashlights with APF technology are more efficient and reliable.
