PWS MK-114 Mod-2 M is a precise, reliable and technologically advanced American carbine, adapted to 5.56 × 45 mm (.223 Remington) ammunition, which will allow you to achieve even better results on the target. A feature unique to this carbine is its gas system, which does not rely on direct gas action on the slide or short-stroke piston, but on a long gas piston design, structurally similar to an AK carbine. This makes the weapon definitely cleaner, more pleasant to work with and more adapted to the sound moderator. The presented model has a 14.5" barrel and is equipped with a Wylde-type cartridge chamber.

Wylde-type chamber in the PWS MK-114 Mod-2 carbine.
If you are looking for a carbine that combines high precision and reliability, the PWS carbine will be your new benchmark. It is a weapon created for those who do not recognize compromises like professionals, sports shooters or enthusiasts of modern AR designs. Equipped with a breech chamber created by Bill Wylde, the PWS carbine allows the safe use of .223 Rem and 5.56 × 45 mm NATO ammunition.
Operating principle based on long gas piston stroke
The PWS carbine is based on the discharge of some of the gunpowder gases through a side hole in the barrel. The gunpowder gases, then, act on a long-stroke piston, which is permanently connected to the slide assembly and the breech, thus unlatching it. The weapon is cocked by rotating the breech with 6 symmetrical bolts. The breech and trigger chamber (Upper/Lower) is made of cold-forged steel and coated with a durable protective coating. The presence of a gas regulator is also an important feature, allowing to adjust the amount of gas fed when using a suppressor.
Precise gas regulator in the weapon
PWS offers a 3-position gas regulator system that allows you to adjust the weapon's action to your needs. Whether you are using a suppressor, shooting subsonic ammunition, or training at full power, you will have full control over the weapon's behavior.
- Position 1 - maximum amount of gas (ideal for low-quality ammunition and with dirty weapons).
- Position 2 - standard mode with a universal spectrum of use.
- Position 3 - suppressor mode (reduced back pressure and smoother duty cycle).
