DWR water repellent coating and HWS membrane
The women's pants are made of durable polyester fabric. The fabric has been additionally treated with DWR water repellent coating, making it resistant to dirt and water penetration. The pants are lined on the inside with warm, 120-gram Thermo Poly Shield™ wadding, and have a wind- and water-resistant two-layer HWS® Härkila Weather System membrane to withstand rain with snow.

The pants have a high back that is attached to the suspenders and covers much of the wearer's back. This provides additional protection for the lumbar region and back from the cold, and both the suspenders and back can be detached when not needed. At the back of the pants, the waistband is elastic for a snug fit and warmth retention.
Capacious zippered pockets
The insulated pants have two diagonal and zippered front pockets and two large thigh pockets with patches, equipped with silent magnetic closures. A cartridge holder is sewn into the right front pocket. The pants can be unzipped at the ankles for easy donning and doffing, and the zippers are covered with wind- and water-resistant patches. Velcro adjustments at the ankles were also used.
