AEB-L is a stainless carbon steel, originally developed for razor and scalpel blades. It features a very fine grain structure, which translates into high impact strength and ease of sharpening to a sharp edge. It also offers good corrosion resistance.

The handle is made of Micarta, a composite materialmade of pressure-pressed canvas with synthetic resin. The edges of the facings are smooth and provide an ergonomic, comfortable grip. The back of the handle features a hole for attaching a cord.
