TheBenchmade 179GRY SOCP is a multi-functional tool designed for rescue and self-defense applications.
The tool was designed with input from Greg Thompson, creator of the S.O.C.P program, a combat system used by US Army special units.
Simple and robust
TheBenchmade 179GRY SOCP is a rescue tool made entirely of 440C stainless steel, coated with a layer of gray Teflon. The tool has a full-tang construction, which means that it is made from a single piece of steel.
Functional and reliable
The 179GRY SOCP rescue model is equipped with a hook-shaped blade and a tungsten carbide window drift, among other features. The rescue hook is a useful rescue tool that allows you to quickly cut through seat belts, clothing or body restraining ropes.
The hook is designed to quickly effectively cut the material and at the same time not injure the victim. The tool is also equipped with a wrench for oxygen cylinders. This design also allows the tool to be used as a cubotan.
Skeletonized handle
Transverse cutters have been made on the narrow handle and at the base of the blade to improve the knife's grip. The grip has anatomical cutouts for fingers, so the knife does not slip even from a sweaty hand.
At the back of the handle is a distinctive ring, making it easier to retrieve the tool from the sheath, allowing for an instant change of grip and hammer blows.
Polymer sheath
For safe carrying of the tool, there is a polymer sheath with a clip, compatible with the MOLLE system, so it can be attached to vests, belts and military panels.
TheBenchmade 179GRY SOCP is a popular tool among firefighters, police officers, paramedics and people who want to take proper care of their safety on the street and road.
