Automatic reloading
The air rifle is powered by a 12gCO2 capsule, mounted in a metal magazine. The compressed carbon dioxide gives the fired diabolo shots a velocity of up to 110 m/s and allows accurate shooting at a distance of about 20 meters.
A good qualityCO2 cartridgeallows you to fire about 60 aligned shots. The number of shots also depends on the air temperature, shooting dynamics and proper maintenance of the airgun. It is also important to remember that aCO2 capsule (punctured) can be left in the windgun for a maximum of 48 hours.
After this time, the capsule must be removed or "fired". Installation and replacement of the capsule are very simple, requiring only inserting the capsule into the magazine and tightening it with the pressure screw.
Precision of shooting
Thanks to the use of a threaded barrel, the gun has been adapted to shoot classic 4.5mm diabolo shot, which makes the airgun great for precision target shooting and dynamic shooting. The shotgun is loaded into a rotating 8-shot magazine mounted in the breech.
For shooting, we recommend using only flat or half-round shot, which have the best accuracy and do not cause the magazine to jam.
DAO trigger mechanism
The air rifle uses the DAO (double action only) trigger mechanism, which allows you to shoot using self-trigger only.
The advantage of this solution is, first of all, simple and instinctive operation, which makes the Walther CP99 4.5mm Diabolo CO2 air rifle great for those starting their adventure with air shooting.
When carrying or storing, the trigger mechanism can be locked with the external safety located on the right side of the frame.
Easy aiming
The Walther Top Point collimator sight is included with the air rifle. Unlike mechanical sights, shooting with a collimator sight is much simpler and quicker, as we don't have to concentrate on aligning the musket and the sights.
All we have to do is "hover the dot over the target" and concentrate on smoothly pulling down the trigger tongue. The dot, with a size of 4 MOA, is perfect for dynamic shooting, and it also does not obscure the image of a distant target.
The red dot has up to 11 brightness levels, allowing you to adjust the intensity of the spot to the prevailing lighting conditions. To mount the sight, you get a low mount and a mounting base (with 4 Picatinny rails) attached to the gun's frame.
Sporting style
An element that undoubtedly distinguishes the Walther Nighthawk 4.5mm air rifle is the unscrewable dummy compensator, which emphasizes the sporting character of the gun and gives it a striking appearance.
The compensator is mounted screwed to the external thread of the barrel, so it can be easily and quickly removed if necessary.
