TheSmith&Wesson M&P40 black 4.5mm BB CO2 is a budgetCO2 air rifle that is a faithful replica of the American Smith Wesson M@P40 pistol.
Faithful replica
The air rifle features a solid construction, in which we can distinguish the heavy metal lock (fixed) and polymer frame, referring to the construction of the original M@P40.
As in the original, the pistol has a comfortable grip, a fiber-optic pincer and a skeleton equipped with a 22mm accessory rail that allows mounting a flashlight or laser target marker.
The pistol's grip has non-slip texturing, which makes the gun stable and comfortable in the hand.
The revolver has mechanical aiming instruments, in the form of a fiber-optic pin barrel and a musket marked with a white dot. This allows for much faster ripping of the instruments, easier "entering the target" and shooting in lower light conditions.
All gun and militaria enthusiasts will be pleased to know that the air rifle bears the licensed markings of the manufacturer Smith&Wesson.
Efficient power supply
The air rifle is powered by a 12gCO2 capsule, mounted in the pistol's grip after the liners are removed. The compressed carbon dioxide gives the fired BB's a velocity of up to 130 m/s and allows accurate shooting at a distance of about 20 m.
A good qualityCO2 cartridge allows you to fire about 80 aligned shots. This amount depends primarily on the air temperature, the dynamics of shooting and proper maintenance of the airgun. It should also be remembered that a CO2 capsule (punctured) can be left in the windgun for a maximum of 48 hours.
After this time, the capsule must be removed or "fired". Installation and replacement of the capsule are very simple, requiring only the removal of the grip linings, inserting the capsule into the magazine and tightening it with the thumb screw.
Steel BB's shot
The metal magazine, which slides out of the grip, holds 19 BB's 4.46 mm shot, which are best suited for recreational shooting at reactive targets, cans, bottles, etc.
Thanks to the convenient location of the magazine latch button, its release for those with larger hands does not require a change of grip.
The magazine feeder can be locked in the lower position, this allows the shotgun to be loaded by gravity directly from the container.
Unlike lead shot, BB'S do not deform even under pressure, so they can be safely loaded into high-capacity magazines.
DAO trigger mechanism
The air rifle uses a DAO (double action only) trigger mechanism, which allows shooting with self-trigger only.
The advantage of this solution is, first of all, simple and instinctive operation, which makes the Smith&Wesson M&P40 air rifle great for those starting their adventure with air shooting.
When carrying or storing the airgun, the trigger mechanism can be locked with the external fuse, located on the right side of the frame.
