Manufactured by Turkish arms manufacturer Hatsan, the airguns have been popular among Polish sport shooters for years thanks to the capabilities they provide within their price range. The Optima by Hatsan brand offers the same excellent cost-to-quality ratio, which is a direct result of the solutions used in the manufacturing process. The manufacturer's tremendous capabilities allow it to manufacture every part in a single factory, so the windguns are made from scratch under the watchful eye of Hatsan specialists.
Optima by Hatsan Flash - a multi-shot pcp carbine for Field Target shooting
The Optima by Hatsan Flash air rifle has a compact design, making the carbine very foldable, suitable for a large group of shooters, and convenient to carry. The polymer stock was designed with an emphasis on ergonomics and comfortable shooting. The fluted pistol grip increases control and makes the carbine easier to operate. The polymer stock makes the carbine relatively lightweight, and maintenance of the stock is mainly limited to keeping it generally clean. The Monte Carlo's contoured cheek piece is symmetrical, allowing right- and left-handers to shoot comfortably. The rubber foot noticeably reduces recoil after shooting and creates a stable point of support.
The very good shooting performance of the air rifle is due to the use of a precision threaded barrel with a length of 450 mm. The barrel is chocked (tapered at the barrel's exit), which contributes to a more precise trajectory of the shot as it leaves the barrel and, as a result, better accuracy. At the end of the barrel there is a standard 1/2" UNF thread dedicated to mounting a sound suppressor or a shot compensator. One of the key elements of any air rifle is the quality of the trigger. The Optima by Hatsan Flash carbine uses a 2-stage Quattro Trigger mechanism, which allows you to adjust the weight and length of the trigger tongue travel.
The Optimaby Hatsan Flash air rifle is powered by compressed air stored in an integrated 165 cc cartridge. Thanks to the built-in pressure gauge, the user of the carbine can control the pressure in the cartridge, which also determines the level of its filling. It is recommended that the air injected into the cartouche be dried, which protects the cartouche from corrosion. One cartridge fill allows you to fire about 38-48 aligned shots.
TheHatsan Flash uses interchangeable drum magazines with a capacity of 14 shot gun shells (2 magazines included). Reloading and insertion of the shotgun pellets into the chamber is done with a right-hand reloading lever, similar to the four-barrel breech used in repeating weapons. Due to the lack of mechanical sighting devices, the carbine is equipped with a double 11/22 mm rail allowing the use of a target scope of your choice. The lower Picatinny rail on the stock, allows the attachment of a bipod or flashlight.
Two systems are responsible for the safety of use:
- Anti-Knock System- which prevents the leakage of compressed air when the gun is dropped or hit with a windlass
- Manual safety- locking the trigger mechanism and preventing uncontrolled shots.
