Optima by Hatsan Gladius Long 6.35mm - precision pcp bull pup carbine for Field Target shooting
The Optima by Hatsan Gladius carbine uses a futuristic stock made of polymer that is resistant to polymer mechanical damage and weather conditions. Thanks to the buttless design, the bullpup windgun is shorter and more foldable, while maintaining a long barrel and optimal aiming line. The ergonomic bed has a separate pistol grip, a symmetrical flask with thumb-hole space and 3 slots for carrying spare magazines. The pistol grip and the front of the bed have non-slip fluting, which helps maintain full control of the carbine. The Optima by Hatsan Gladius carbine has a dual 11/22mm rail for an optical sight and 3 additional Picatinny rails for shooting accessories. The flask can be adjusted to the shooter's build and preferences thanks to the adjustable foot and cheekpiece. Thanks to such functionality, the shooter can adjust the length of the flask and adjust the position of the buttstock depending on the height of the optics mount.
The carbine uses a precision furrowed barrel as long as 585 mm ending in a chok (taper), which in the case of a long barrel provides better guidance and sealing of the shot in the barrel tube. The QE (QuietEnergy) floating barrel has an integrated sound suppressor that halves the firing sound without reducing the energy of the shot. With the help of a 1/2" UNF external thread on the barrel of the carbine, we can also mount additional discharge devices.
A fixed 255 cc compressed air cartridge is used to power the Optima by Hatsan Gladius. Fully charged, the pcp reservoir allows us to fire about 105 shots with an even initial velocity. Thanks to the built-in pressure gauge, the user can easily control the pressure and remaining air reserve.
The Optima by Hatsan Gladius Long pcp rifle uses an aluminum 9-shot magazine for shot feeding. Reloading and insertion of the shotgun into the chamber is carried out with a side-lever reloading action with smooth action characteristics.
The high accuracy of the air rifle is due, among other things, to the use of an adjustable two-stage Quattro Trigger. The user can independently define the length of the initial path and the trigger weight, so after just a short shooting practice we can get a tight and satisfying focus on the target. The carbine has 2 mechanisms responsible for the safety of use: Anti-Knock System-mechanism that prevents uncontrolled firing in case of a fall or large shock to the carbine, and a manual safety located directly in front of the trigger.
Along with the carbine we receive a set of accessories: 4 9-shot magazines, a Quick-Fill charging plug, an air-drain plug, a carrying strap and a polymer carrying case.
