TheSawyer Mini SP105 is an ultralight, personal water filtration system with a capacity of az 370,000 liters, with an advanced 0.1 micron technology filter that retains 99.99% of harmful bacteria and protozoa.

The filter has a mouthpiece on one side and a thread on the other, allowing it to be tightened to bottles and hydration systems. The device weighs just 57 grams and easily fits in a jacket or pants pocket. The filter allows you to drink water directly from the reservoir or stream (straw included), can be attached to a standard PET bottle (using the thread) or squeeze sachet (included), and is also compatible with hydration bags. This allows you to get water from different sources, as well as overflowing and collecting it in another vessel.

Inside the filter is a network of U-shaped microchannels, which trap particles and contaminants larger than 0.1 microns (micrometers). For example, Escherichia coli bacteria are 0.8 microns in size. The capillary membrane does not retain heavy metals, sulfur and iron, and viruses, which require chemicals.

The filter is extremely durable and easy to clean. The claimed capacity of the filter is up to 378541 liters of water. Thus, by purifying even 10 liters of water per day, the filter will last us 100 years, so it is a lifetime device.

After a certain period of time, the flow of water in the filter may be difficult, this is a signal that it has accumulated a large amount of impurities and requires maintenance. Cleaning the filter is extremely easy, just use the included syringe to inject clean water through the mouthpiece several times. This will flush out the accumulated sediment and restore the performance of the membrane. Proper use and regular cleaning ensures up to 98.5% efficiency.

The filter works on the mechanical principle and does not require any additional chemicals. Its performance is in practice unlimited, so its purchase is sufficient for a lifetime.

Due to the channel construction of the membrane, the filter should not be allowed to freeze in winter conditions, this can lead to permanent damage.
