Tarp Lesovik HEKSA Crocodile ultra light olive green

Product description

Lesovik Heksa Crocodile is an ultralight tarp with a hexagonal shape made of micro ripstop nylon, equipped with 6 attachment points and an integrated suspension system with cable tensioners.

Lesovik Heksa Crocodile is a tarp for the most demanding users who want to maximally "slim down" the weight of their equipment.

The distinctive feature of the "crocodile" is its elongated hexagonal profile, which allows to better shield the hammock from the rain. The arched edges facilitate tension, so that rain and dew do not accumulate in the hollows.

The360×300 cm tarp is unrivaled in the full-size tarp category because it weighs just 480 g (with lines), which is about 60% lighter than standard camping sheets.

The Heksa Crocodile is a simple and extremely functional solution for creating a shelter with a large surface area (8.77m2 ). Easy assembly, the ability to be hung up in many ways makes the tarp create a wide spectrum of protection from rain, sun, wind and allows you to use the tarp in many ways. After all, we can use the 3.6 × 3 m tarp to make a standard canopy, a tent/tepee, a screen, hang a hammock under it, and even camp with several people.

Heksa Crocodile has a fast 6-point attachment system. The built-in tension regulator will automatically prevent the line from loosening and, importantly, it can be easily operated with one hand, without knowing any knots, you just need to pin the line to the ground and tighten it.

The attachment points of the lashings have been reinforced by the spot application of Hypalon, a rubber-nylon laminate used in, among other things, mountain pontoons and military equipment.

The sheet itself was created from Silylon in a microripstop weave, a fabric that is fully waterproof, windproof and resistant to mechanical damage.

In addition, the back on the crest of the tarp has polyamide webbing, increasing the load-bearing capacity and distributing the forces resulting from stretching the tarp.

The most popular ways of unfolding the tarp

Spreading the tarp according to the situation

Summer - Warm, mild conditions, no rainfall

In this case, it is a good idea to hang the tarp up high to increase the distance from the hammock and provide more air circulation. Mount the lashings of the tarp wide to avoid creating a barrier to incoming air. The tarp will mainly protect you from falling leaves, needles or pieces of bark from trees.

Autumn - windy conditions, possibility of rain.

In such conditions, hang the tarp lower, closer to the hammock. Install the lashings wide, so that the wind slides over the tarp and does not push excessively on its sides.

Spring - No wind, possible snowfall.

Hang the tarp at normal height, but mount the lashings closer to make the sides of the tarp form a slightly steeper canopy - this will leave less snow on the tarp and put much less strain on it.

Mountain hiking / Sudden break in the weather

Hang up the tarp then in the form of a tent using hiking poles. Attach the lashings on one side directly to the ground, this will reduce the negative impact of driving rain.
