Prisms in the roof system
Leupold BX-5 Santiam HD 10×50 is an advanced binocular with prisms in a roof arrangement. Theadvantage of this layout is primarily the smaller size and weight of the binoculars, which affects the comfort and ease of carrying.
Binoculars with 10× magnification, an aperture of 50 and a field of view of 5.8° (101/1000 m) m wide are perfect for hunting, as they allow free "hand-held use" while ensuring very good visibility of details.
The high magnification is also used for observing aircraft (in flight), birds that are difficult to get close to, and highly distant objects. The advantages of a large exit pupil (5mm) and bright optics will also be appreciated by older people and enthusiasts of evening sky observation
