Highlights of the BX-5 Santiam HD series:
Twilight Light Max HD Management System:
- Unrivaled brightness even in the most challenging conditions,
- Enhanced Twilight Efficiency,
- Enhances image brightness in low-light environments (approximately 30 minutes),
- Eliminates 90% of stray light reflections,
- Premium lenses provide edge-to-edge sharpness,
- enhances image depth and contrast.
Armor-coated - rubberized housing protective coating provides a secure and comfortable grip in all conditions.
Guard-Ion coating - reduces dirt and water adhesion on lenses and ensures high image sharpness.
DiamondCoat 2 coating - the most abrasion-resistant protective coating, which further increases light transmission and image contrast.
Bak-4 glass prisms - provide a perfectly round exit pupil and a sharp image in the full field of view.
HD quality - calcium fluoride lenses provide amazing image resolution and clarity at any magnification.
Enlarged focus ring - provides comfort and the ability to operate the binoculars with gloves.
Diopter adjustment - allows you to fine-tune the focus of the binoculars, compensating for differences in vision between the right and left eyes.
Ergonomic design with open bridge - modern style combining functionality, lightness and comfort.
Fully multi-coated lenses - provide superior brightness, excellent image resolution and accurate color reproduction.
Phase correction coating - dielectric coating on the primes reduces interference from light splitting in the roof system. It makes the image contrasting and sharp in the full field of view (from edge, to edge).
Roof (roof) layout - binoculars in this layout are lighter, more compact (compared to porro layout) and easier to carry.
Lightweight and handy
TheLeupold BX-4 Pro Guide HD 12×50 is a daytime hunting binocular that weighs 912 g and is weatherproof and dirt-resistant.
Thanks to the Leupold brand's patented nitrogen-filled technology, the binoculars have full protection against water and internal evaporation.
The tubes are covered with an Armor-coated rubber coating, which protects against scratches and prevents the binoculars from slipping out of your hand. The binoculars' slim shape makes them comfortable to use and great in the hand.
The use of an open-design bridge and roof optics makes the binoculars lightweight and comfortable to use.
For carrying the binoculars you get a lockable protective pouch and a padded shoulder strap.
Prisms in the roof system
Leupold BX-5 Santiam HD 12×50 is a daytime binocular with prisms in a roof system. Theadvantage of this layout is primarily the smaller size and weight of the binoculars, which affects the comfort and ease of carrying.
With an aperture of 50×, 12× magnification and a weight of 912 g, the binoculars allow relatively easy "hand-held use", but for longer observation it is worth getting a camera tripod, which guarantees a stable image and comfort of use.
High magnification provides excellent visibility of details, which is why 12×50 binoculars are often used for observing airplanes (when flying), birds that are difficult to get close to, and strongly distant objects. The advantages of bright optics with a large exit pupil will also be appreciated by enthusiasts of evening sky observation.
Extendable eyecups and a large exit pupil distance allow people wearing corrective lenses to observe comfortably. The binoculars have a sensitive focusing mechanism, allowing smooth and precise image adjustment.
The binoculars have diopter adjustment on the right eyepiece, used to compensate for differences in the vision of the right and left eyes.
HD image
The use of full anti-reflective coatings on HD lenses and Bak-4 glass results in a bright image with exceptional resolution and naturally reproduced colors.
Twilight Light Management System not only enhances image brightness in low-light environments, it also eliminates image blur and stray light reflections.
Theoversaw HD system consists of low dispersion lenses (lenses) and optical elements coated with rare earth elements (eyepiece lenses).
This design guarantees excellent color reproduction and the highest image resolution, so we can enjoy HD quality images in all lighting and weather conditions.
The outer surfaces of the lenses are coated with DiamondCoat 2, the highest abrasion resistancecoating offered by the Leupold brand.
The DiamondCoat 2 coating promotes ionization, further enhancing light transmission. This affects higher brightness, clarity and contrast of the image seen, and allows the binoculars to be used in the harshest conditions.
The second Guard-Ion coating effectively protects the glass from scratches, reduces water, dirt and fingerprint deposits.
