Benchmade is one of the most recognizable knife manufacturing brands in the world. It was founded in 1988 in California. For more than 20 years it has been gaining positions in the market using more and more modern technologies and the best materials. A guarantee of quality is the trust of such companies as Harley-Davidson and HK for which separate lines of knives were created. Thanks to the division of Benchmade knives into classes (gold, black, blue) everyone can choose a model for themselves.
The 580 model represents the blue class of Benchmade folding knives . The drop-point blade, which has a flat grind, is made of 154CM steel and hardened to value (58-61HRC). The overall length of the blade is 91mm, while the thickness is 3mm. The blade is equipped with a pin on both sides, which is used to open and unfold the knife.
The handle facings are made of a thermoplastic material called Valox, which is further reinforced with 420J steel liners.
The handle has profiled notches, which increase safety and ergonomics when using the knife.
The knife comes with a convertible clip.
The lock used is the well-liked "axis lock", which has been improved by equipping it with an additional spring that assists in quick opening. The mechanism ensures safety during use of the knife, as well as its handling by locking the clip securely. The lock can be operated by both right and left-handed people.
