TheVortex Sparc Solar is the first collimator sight in the Vortex brand's range to feature AUTO D-TEC solar technology, providing up to 150,000 hours of operation!
The Vortex Sparc Solar was designed for the use of long guns, including AR15 carbines, semi-automatic rifles, PCC carbines.
Changes from the classic version of the Sparc sight:
- smaller and lighter design - only 167 g
- power supply supported by AUTO D-TEC solar technology
- operating time up to 150,000 hours
- power supply with CR2032 batteries
- motion sensor that activates the sight after automatic switching off (after 14 hours)
- greater range of aiming point adjustment - 100 MOA vertically and horizontally
Lightweight construction
The body of the sight is made of aircraft aluminum by precision milling. By shortening the length of the body, the device also has a lighter design weighing only 167 g with mounting.
The Vortex Sparc Solar guarantees "stable zero holding", the optics are free of parallax error, and thanks to its unlimited eye relief it can be used on hunting rifles, AR carbines and semi-automatic rifles.
Optics
The sight uses lenses with multi-layer anti-reflective coatings applied to all air-glass boundaries. Thanks to them, the collimator provides high light transmission, the image seen is clear and high-contrast, as well as free of parallax error.
Optimal aiming point
A 2 MOA red dot is used for aiming, with vertical and horizontal adjustment of as much as 100 MOA. Each click of the barrel changes the position of the aiming dot by 1MOA.
The MOA-sized dot doesn't obscure the target, so it's perfect for both precision and dynamic shooting. The sight also has a wide range of brightness, i.e. 10 day settings and 2 night settings - compatible with night vision.
To operate the collimator there are 2 flat buttons responsible for switching on/off and changing the brightness level, and open reels for adjusting the aiming point position.
AUTO D-TEC solar technology
Sparc Solar has two forms of power: using a monocrystalline solar cell (main power supply) and a disposable CR2032 battery.
With Auto D-TEC technology, when there is insufficient sunlight the power supply automatically, switches over and draws power from the CR2032 battery.
In most daytime (outdoor) conditions, the Sparc Solar collimator will operate solely on solar power. The combination of the two power systems provides up to 150,000 hours of battery life at a brightness setting of 6.
The impressive runtime of the sight is also due to the use of a motion sensor, which, when there is no motion activity, turns off the collimator's power supply (after 14 hours) and puts the device into sleep mode.
Re-activating the aiming mark requires only moving the weapon. In the case of manual deactivation of the sighting mark, the motion sensor does not activate the device.
Accessories included
The set includes lens caps, torx multifunction wrench, cleaning cloth, CR2032 battery and 2 mounts: high 1/3 co-witness for carbines, and low recommended for shotguns.
