The Walther P22 is a compact tactical-style knife featuring a 440C stainless steel blade, liner-lock and contoured liners inspired by the Walther P22 pistol grip.
Is it worth buying a stainless steel knife?
The blade of the knife is made of the popular 440C stainless steel hardened to 57-59 HRC. Thanks to its increased carbon content, the steel resists wear, retains its working sharpness for a long time, and sharpens relatively quickly and easily, which is important for an outdoor knife. The head is coated with a titanium protective coating, which further protects against corrosion and contrasts aesthetically with the wooden liners.
Functional blade
The knife has a slim blade with a spear-point profile, with a derived concave grind and a gently rounded belly of the cutting edge. The back and belly of the blade are symmetrical with respect to each other, creating a sharp and sturdy hilt. High penetration and good cutting properties make this type of blade often used in small edc knives and combat knives. A transverse milling has been made on the back, which allows you to rest your finger while working (thumb ramp).
Classic unfolding
The blade is unfolded in using two hands, with the help of a nail cutout. This classic solution has been used for decades in pocket knives, among others, and allows legal carry in most EU countries.
Strong locking mechanism
When unfolded, the blade is locked with a liner-lock mechanism. When the blade is unfolded, the role of the lock is played by a spring-loaded liner that rests against the back of the blade, thus preventing it from folding. Liner-lock is prized for its simplicity, reliability and heavy-duty durability.
Pistol-style grip
The element responsible for the knife's comfort is the lightweight G10 plastic liners. This is a glass-epoxy laminate, which is characterized by low weight, high mechanical strength, resistance to water, temperature change, as well as the effects of many acids and solvents. The non-slip Hi-Grip texturing is identical to that applied by the manufacturer to the grip of the Walther P22 pistol. The fine texturing and grooves provide excellent grip and prevent the knife from slipping from a sweaty or wet hand.
To carry the Walther P22, we receive a nylon case with a two-position belt attachment.
