Fenix PD35 V3.0 is the 3rd generation of the popular tactical flashlight for uniformed services and military enthusiasts. After upgrading the optics, the flashlight has a flux of 1700 lumens, its range has increased to 375m, and it is also equipped with functional additions in the form of a battery level indicator, a crown to protect the optics, and a USB rechargeable battery.
Durable design
The flashlight's tube is made of anodized aluminum A6061-T6 HA-III, which guarantees high resistance to damage and robustness of construction. Thanks to the cross-moulded surface, the flashlight does not slip from the hand, and its grip is well felt. The mottled surface makes it easier and faster to dissipate the heat that the LED generates during operation. The optical system is protected by a serrated crown, which also allows the flashlight to be used for self-defense techniques. The flashlight is compact and comfortable to use and carry. Its length is 134 mm, and the weight without batteries is only 84 g, so it can accompany us in everyday and outdoor activities. Thanks to the titanium clip, the flashlight can be quickly attached to a belt, backpack or tactical vest. Two switches were used to operate the flashlight: the rear one - responsible for activating the constant light, and the side one - for changing modes and activating the strobe.
Tactical searchlight
The light source is the new-generation LUMINUS SFT40 LED, generating a maximum light output of 1700 lumens for 85 minutes!* The light has a cool-white color, ideal for tactical applications requiring maximum brightness. The human eye perceives "cool light" as more powerful, so it works best for illuminating terrain, distant objects, and blinding an attacker.
The optics have also been modernized, in the new version it consists of a convex lens and a small reflector with a smooth surface, resulting in an increase in range of almost 50% over other flashlights with an inch head. Thanks to this design, the beam is perfectly concentrated, and its range reaches up to 357 m! The parameters of the light allow for precise illumination of distant objects and effective work in patrol operations, making the Fenix PD35 V3.0 perfect for use as a tactical flashlight and edc light.
Light modes with easy operation
The user has 5 modes of constant light: turbo, high, medium, low and flash mode: strobe. To operate the flashlight there are two buttons , i.e. the rear switch responsible for turning the flashlight on/off and momentary light, and the side switch for activating strobe and changing brightness levels. Such functionality makes the Fenix PD35 V3.0 flashlight extremely user-friendly, making it perfect for uniformed services and hunting activities.
Rechargeable battery with USB charging
The Fenix PD35 V3.0 is powered by the innovative Fenix ARB-L18-2600U 18650 cell (included), which when fully charged provides up to 230 hours of operation (in eco mode). The battery has a built-in micro-USB charging port. This practical and convenient solution allows charging the cell without the need for an external charger. To charge, all we need is a micro-USB cable (included) and a power source such as a power bank, laptop, desktop computer or car charger with USB. The USB rechargeable battery not only saves money (on the purchase of a charger), above all it provides comfort, independence and mobility. An alternative to the 18650 battery are disposable CR123 batteries, which are usually used in winter due to their resistance to low temperatures and lack of self-discharge effect.
Battery level indicator
When working or hunting, it is worthwhile to control the state of the battery, so the Fenix PD35 V3.0 flashlight uses an indicator to inform about the energy level of the power cell. The LED in the side switch for 3 seconds after activating the flashlight informs about the level of the battery.
Note that the indicator works only with Fenix ARB-L18 series batteries. An equally useful feature is the low battery voltage warning, which reminds you to charge or replace the cell.
Battery level indications:
- constant green light: 100-85%,
- flashing green light: 85-50%,
- steady red light: 50-25%,
- flashing red light: 25-1%.
Additional features
The flashlight remembers the last used brightness level. When you turn it on again, the flashlight automatically activates in that mode (memory function). The flashlight has a high protection class IP68, so it is resistant to dust, dust, full immersion in water at a depth of 2 m and a fall from a height of 1 m. The manufacturer also did not forget to include protection against overheating and reverse polarity, as well as a driver with digital current regulation.
The light's parameters were tested using the ARB-L21-2600U battery.
