RAM (Real Action Markers) are CO2 pneumatic throwers available without permits, which allow effective defense with a safe distance of several meters.
The manufacturer of the thrower is the German company Umarex, which for nearly 20 years has been Europe's largest manufacturer and distributor of airguns, self-defense accessories, airsoft replicas and outdoor equipment. Based on their experience in the production of airsoft pistols and rifles, German designers have designed a reliable self-defense device that does not require a permit or registration and can be used by any adult.
The Umarex T4E HDR 68CO2 has a modern design modeled after contemporary revolver models. A durable polymer with a matte finish was used for the frame, barrel and outer barrel, which faithfully imitates steel and provides a realistic look. Particularly notable in the revolver's design are the high barrel block and the molded handle with a non-slip texture, thanks to which the marker fits securely in any hand, regardless of the gender and age of the user.
The Umarex T4E HDR 68 is equipped with two 22mm Picatinny standard accessory rails, allowing the revolver to be fired with a laser target pointer or collimator. The revolver features a functional trigger fuse, which prevents accidental firing while carrying or under the influence of a fall, and forces the correct position of the finger on the trigger tongue. The mechanical sighting instruments (musket and scimitar) have a low profile that makes it easy to draw the revolver from the holster. Intuitive operation is provided by the DAO (Double Action Only) trigger mechanism, designed for dynamic firing, which is crucial in stressful situations. Bullets are loaded into a removable 6-shot cartridge, which works in the same way as a classic drum.
The Umarex T4E HDR 68 revolver is powered by a 12gCO2 capsule, mounted in the grip. However, unlike standardCO2 replicas and air guns, in this model we can carry the carbon dioxide capsule without time limits.
All thanks to a simple mechanism that allows you to flash the capsule only at the moment when you want to shoot the marker. To do this, you only need to lightly strike the knob protruding from the handle, the gas expansion occurs spontaneously, and the revolver is ready for action in a fraction of a second. Such a solution makes the Umarex T4E HDR 68 that we don't have to worry about damaging the valves, and guarantees that we will use a full cap in an emergency situation.

One of the biggest advantages of the Umarex T4E HDR 68 revolver as a self-defense device is the ability to use various types of bullets in the powerful .68" caliber. The standard ammunition is rubber bullets with a diameter of 17.3 mm, which, when fired, reach an energy of up to 16 J. This type of non-penetrating ammunition, has a very high knockdown power, which can painfully discourage and, as a result, effectively stop an attacking assailant. A hit with a rubber bullet from a distance of several meters, is felt even through thick clothing, so it is very effective for self-defense. In addition, from the revolver we can also throw precision bullets, hardened bullets (rubber-metal), pepper bullets and bullets with a marking agent. We load the bullets into interchangeable 6-shot cartridges. Having several magazines with us, we are able to fend off even several attackers.
We can load RAM bullets with different purposes into the magazine, as well as in the order we determine. Such a solution increases the defensive qualities and makes it possible to use the revolver for preventive actions, for example, by security personnel.
The Umarex T4E HDR 68 is available without a permit or registration. Its operation is extremely simple and already after a short training we will assimilate the activities, related to loading, changing the capsule and shooting. The unquestionable advantages of this device also include rapid firing, the ability to use different types of bullets, high energy and accuracy. It is also worth noting that the realistic appearance of the revolver is so convincing that the aggressor can abandon his actions without firing a shot.
