The uppers of the boots are made of natural grain leather and secured with a wide rubber collar (around the boot), protecting the feet during hunting and trekking in difficult terrain. The boots have uppers as high as 12" (30.5 cm), a padded ankle, a comfortable insole and reinforced soles with additional cushioning in the middle, which increases comfort and reduces foot fatigue during prolonged walking.

The boots use a breathable and waterproof GORE-TEX Duratherm Kelvin membrane with an integrated insulation layer, so our feet stay dry and warm even in sulfurous cold. The membrane not only protects the boots from getting wet, it is also responsible for wicking the moisture released by the feet to the outside. The high insulated upper effectively insulates against the cold and makes the boots ideal for winter hunting in deep snow or swampy areas. All boots with a Gore-Tex membrane are water tested to verify their water resistance. The Härkila Driven Hunt 2.0 GTX hunting footwear with Gore-Tex membrane is designed for trekking and hunting in difficult mountainous terrain where the wearer is exposed to variable weather conditions.
The Härkila Driven Hunt 2.0 GTX have specialized Vibram Aftersky Ice Trek soles designed for safe movement on icy surfaces. The Vibram with anti-slip protector effectively make it easier to navigate also on rocky and uneven surfaces. The cushioned midsole provides comfort, which is most noticeable over long distances even on very uneven ground. Despite the high leather upper and massive sole, the shoes are relatively light, one shoe weighs 930 g (weight for size 42). The boots have a convenient binding system in the form of metal grommets.
