The body of the Fenix PD25R flashlight is made of hardened aluminum, subjected to the HA-III hard anodizing process, making the flashlight's barrel and head resistant to scratches, abrasion and mechanical damage. The milled surface of the aluminum improves grip and prevents the flashlight from slipping from the hand. The optics are protected by a discreet crown, which protects the glass during a fall and allows the flashlight to be used for self-defense. The flashlight is handy and lightweight, with a length of 92 mm and a battery weight of just 78 g, which is about the size of a large Victorinox Swiss Army Knife. The light source is a new generation LUMINUS SST20 LED, emitting a maximum light output of 800 lumens (in turbo mode) at a distance of up to 250 m. The cool-neutral light color reduces eye fatigue, provides more natural color rendition and better visibility of details. The flashlight uses anti-reflective glass with high light transmission and SMO smooth reflector, allowing the flashlight to illuminate objects up to more than 200 m away. Fenix PD25R has a relatively evenly divided light beam i.e. a narrow spill and a fairly wide beam, making the flashlight great for various outdoor activities including hiking, camping, edc, etc.
The flashlight uses a 16340 Fenix ARB-L16-700P rechargeable battery, which can also be replaced by a disposable CR123A battery. Fenix PD25R there a built-in USB-C port, which allows charging the cell without the need for an additional charger. For charging, all you need is a standard USB-C cable (included) and a power source such as a power bank, laptop, desktop computer or car USB charger. The port is accessed by partially unscrewing the head. The flashlight offers 5 continuous light modes: turbo, high, medium, low, eco and 1 flash mode: strobe. This allows you to precisely adjust the light parameters to the situation and your own needs. To operate the flashlight, there are two buttons located on the side and back. The metal side switch is used to change the brightness and activate the strobe flash mode. The rubber tactical switch on the back of the body is responsible for activating the momentary light, as well as turning the flashlight on and off. It only takes a few minutes to learn this interface, making the PD25R flashlight extremely user-friendly and easy to use.
The PD25R0 flashlight uses an LED indicator in the side button to inform the user of the battery discharge level. The built-in LED indicates the current battery level every time the flashlight is turned on. The battery level indicator flashes red to remind you to charge or replace the battery. These functions work only with the Fenix ARB-L16-700P 16340 rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The flashlight remembers the last used brightness level.
When you turn it on again, the flashlight automatically activates in this mode (memory function). The flashlight also features IPO (Intelligent Overheat Protection), which protects the surface of the flashlight from overheating (max. 60°C)
