An upgraded version of the HIKMICRO Thunder TE25 thermal imaging sight, bringing this highly successful design up to the latest standards. Thanks to the optimization of the device's performance, HIKVISION engineers have achieved a substantial extension of the model's operating time - it will now allow up to 10 hours of continuous operation. The refresh rate of the device has also been changed, which, thanks to an increase to 50 Hz , now guarantees extremely high smoothness and, consequently, comfort of observation. In addition, the model has been given the possibility with audio recording, as well as activation of recording by sensing the recoil of the weapon on which it is mounted. However, the sight still retains the advantages of the original - an extremely compact design and excellent image quality, offering effective detection of game.
Construction of the HIKMICRO TE25 2.0 thermal imager
The Hikmicro Thunder TE25 2.0 has a lightweight and durable body made of aluminum alloy (magnalia). The aluminum construction also guarantees resistance to shock, impact and weather conditions. The body has been protected against water, dust and moisture (IP67 rating), so the sight is resistant to any weather conditions that may occur during hunting. It is extremely important to be quiet during the hunt for game, so rubber buttons with noiseless operation have been used to operate the sight.
Modular design of the thermal imaging sight
One of the main advantages of HIKMICRO thermal sight is its modular design, thanks to which one device can perform various tasks. We offer the necessary accessories to make the HIKMICRO thermal imager your favorite tool for hunting and observation. The accessories are fully compatible with all HIKMICRO Thunder thermal imagers, so everyone can adjust them to their own needs.
Excellent image performance
The HIKMICRO Thunder TE25 2.0 uses a sensitive 256 × 192 px sensor with <20 mK sensitivity, a high-quality 1024×768 px OLED display, a 25 mm lens and a functional rangefinder. The lower the NETD value, the better the sensor detects temperature differences of objects, which contributes to excellent image quality. Such parameters ensure a clear image in any environmental conditions, so the viewfinder can be used in total darkness, fog, smoke, dust, as well as in rain and snow. The thermal imager has an optical magnification of 3.25 × and target detection at a distance of up to 1,200 meters. The HIKMICRO Thunder TE25 2.0 has the popular PiP (picture-in-picture) function that allows the hunter to simultaneously and precisely observe a target while maintaining a wide field of view. Thunder also uses digital zoom in the 2×, 4× and 8× ranges.
The hunter has 4 of the most popular display modes available, and can choose between:
- White hot - warm in bright color. The higher the temperature, the brighter the tone.
- Black hot - warm in dark color. The higher the temperature, the darker the tonality.
- Red hot - image as in "black hot" with red highlighting of the warmest elements.
- Fusion - from high temperature to low temperature, the image is colored from white, yellow, red, pink to purple.
Thermal image technologies:
- DDE (digital detail enhancement) - digital detail enhancement, smooths the image while emphasizing details,
- 3DDNR (3D digital noise reduction) - digital noise reduction, effectively removes noise and affects image quality,
- AGC (automatic gain control) - automatic gain control, improves the contrast of the displayed scene.
Variable targeting reticles - thermal imaging viewfinder modes
The HIKMICRO Thunder PRO TE25 offers 5 versions of target reticles in 3 colors, as well as the option to completely disable the reticle when using the viewfinder for ordinary observation. An addition that all hunters will appreciate is the static rangefinder, which allows distance measurement based on factory values or user-defined settings. The HIKMICRO Thunder TE25 not only provides excellent support for hunting, but also for observation and patrol activities.
Functionality of the HIKMICRO Thunder hunting thermal imager
The Thunder thermal imager is powered by the included dedicated performance batteries. The operating time in this version reaches up to 10 hours and can be increased by connecting a power-bank (USB-C port). The upgrade also added a charging function for the thermal imager via the USB-C port. The device has 16GB of built-in memory to store captured images or video footage. In addition, images can be transmitted via Wi-Fi to a phone or other device on which the appropriate app (Android or iOS) has been installed.
Free updates
Like all HIKMICRO cameras, the Thunder TE25 2.0 viewfinder can also be updated independently by the user as soon as an appropriate update appears introducing not only the removal of bugs found, but also extending the capabilities of the device with new features.
