TheFenix LR40R V2.0 is a new version of the portable whisperer , which, after an upgrade, offers a light output of 15,000 lumens, a range increased to more than 900 meters , and a 25% extended runtime.
The Fenix LR40R V2.0 is another whisperer in the Fenix brand's lineup that combines impressive light performance, compact size and weight, and great functionality.
The 175mm-long body is made of aircraft-grade aluminum finished with HAIII anodizing, creating a durable protective coating with high resistance to scratches and abrasion. The transverse grooving of the head acts as a heat sink to dissipate excess heat, emitted by a set of 17 LED emitters. The tempered glass with 98% transmittance has been coated with anti-reflective coating, thus reducing light loss to a minimum. The wide head is finished with a raised steel ring allowing the flashlight to be positioned vertically without risking damage to the optics. The milling of the body improves the grip and grip of the flashlight and gives it a modern style. Thanks to the flat base, the flashlight can be placed vertically (the "candle" function) and efficiently illuminate the interior of the object being explored. In the back there is a clip for attaching a lanyard or safety cable.
Fenix LR40R V2.0 - searchlight with a stream of 15,000 lumens
The impressive performance of the flashlight was achieved through the use of two groups of emitters, i.e. 16 Lumileds HL2X LEDs (max. 12,000 lumens) responsible for diffused light and 1 Luminus SFT70 LED (max. 3,000 lumens) emitting focused light. The user has the option of using each mode separately or switching on all emitters, thus obtaining light with a total flux of 15,000 lumens and a working range of more than 900 m! The user can, of course, adjust the brightness level, as well as use additional flash modes - S.O.S. and strobe.
Focused light brightness levels:
- high 3000 lumens
- medium 1500 lumens
- low 500 lumens
- ecco 10 lumens
Brightness levelsdiffused light:
- turbo 12,000 lumens
- high 8,000 lumens
- medium 3000 lumens
- low 1000 lumens
- ecco 100 lumens
Brightness levels of combined light (diffuse + focused):
- turbo 15,000 lumens
- high 10000 lumens

Fenix LR40R V2.0 - professional flashlight for rescue and search operations
The second generation of the flashlight has undergone a significant change in the way the flashlight is operated. The manufacturer used a unique rotary switch and electronic switch, which allow you to easily manage 16 light settings. Thanks to such functionality, we can conveniently operate the flashlight with one hand and instantly activate the light at the intensity needed in a given situation. The location of the switches on the side of the flashlight (under the thumb) makes the use and change of light parameters very intuitive and convenient.
The Fenix LR40R V2.0 also has an on/off switch lock, which protects against uncontrolled activation of the light during transport. To do this, you only need to set the ring to the Lock position. The flashlight uses an intelligent proximity sensor that automatically detects when the head is too close to the object being illuminated. When the distance from the object/wall, etc. is reduced below 60 mm and illuminated for 1.8 seconds, the flashlight automatically reduces the brightness level (to eco mode). When the flashlight head is moved away from the illuminated object, the flashlight controller automatically restores the previous brightness level.
A great convenience is the LED indicator that shows the state of charge of the battery, activated by a single click of any switch (flashlight off).
Battery level indicator markings:
- 5 luminous LEDs: 100-80%
- 4 diode lights: 80-60%
- 3 LEDs lit: 60-40%
- 2 glowing diodes: 40-20%
- 1 glowing diode: 20-1%
The Fenix LR40R V2.0 is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery pack (not removable) with a capacity of 15,000 mAh (3×5000 mAh), on which the flashlight can operate for more than a week in ecco mode (10 lumens) or 150 minutes in turbo mode - 15,000 lumens (total runtime). Thanks to the USB-C port and support for QC2.0 fast charging protocols, we can charge the 15,000 mAh battery in just 4 hours.
The flashlight also uses a USB-C port, so the Fenix LR40R V2.0 can additionally act as a power bank to quickly charge a smartphone or other device. The sockets are protected from moisture, rain and dust with sealed rubber plugs.
For safety and proper operation, the Fenix LR40R V2.0 has overheat protection, reverse polarity protection and a low battery warning. The flashlight has a high IP68 rating, which means it is completely resistant to dust and dirt, fine solids, full immersion in water (for 30 minutes at a depth of 2 meters) and a drop from 1 meter.
All light and durability parameters of the flashlight are in accordance with ANSI/PLATO FL1 standards.
The parameters shown were obtained under laboratory conditions. During testing, 3 built-in 5000 mAh batteries were used.
