The Hawke Prism Sight 6x36 5.56 BDC Dot is an ideal solution for shooters with astigmatism, efficiently combining the best advantages of a spotting scope and collimator in one compact device. It is recommended for shooting at short and medium distances.
Features of the Hawke Prism Sight 6x36 5.56 BDC Dot:
- Optical sight with illuminated reticle 5.56 BDC Dot
- Lenses covered with multi-layer anti-reflective coating (25 layers), which provides a bright and naturally reproduced image with 6× magnification
- red illuminated horseshoe-shaped target mark with a central 1 MOA dot, making target entry instinctive and fast
- large exit pupil distance (71 mm) allows comfortable folding for shooting without maintaining a perfect optical axis with respect to the sight
- 8 daylight brightness settings + 2 settings for night vision,
- the inside of the viewfinder has been cleaned and filled with nitrogen, which prevents internal evaporation of the optics during sudden temperature changes
- sealed construction resistant to shock, moisture and dust
- target mark adjustment reels with a 1 MOA click value
- ShakAwake motion sensor on/off extends battery life
- low weight - the sight with high mount weighs only 293 g,
- target reticle adjustment range of 70 MOA (vertically and horizontally),
- fixed parallax setting at a distance of 91 m
- 2 Weaver rail mounts included: low and 1⁄3 Co-Witness
- Micro T2 footprint compatible mount
The Hawke Prism Sight 6x36 5.56 BDC Dot sight uses a 5.56 BDC Dot reticle for instinctive shooting, the ShakAwake illumination activation system and two mounts, allowing the sight to be used on an AR15 carbine or hunting rifle.
Hawke Prism Sight - optical sight for AR15 for astigmatist
The Hawke Prism Sight 6x36 5.56 BDC Dot has a 6× magnification for easy target identification at medium range, as well as fast shooting with both eyes on targetsw at close range People struggling with astigmatism (a common visual impairment) usually see a fuzzy or distorted target mark when using a collimator, making it difficult to shoot accurately and making shooting uncomfortable. The solution, of course, can be costly surgery, an expensive holographic sight and the increasingly popular prism sight, which is a hybrid of a rifle scope and collimator.
The Hawke Prism Sight Hawke Prism Sight 6x36 5.56 BDC Dot has an aluminum body resistant to shock, dust and moisture. The generous eyebox and large exit pupil distance allow quick folding for shooting without the need to maintain the correct optical axis relative to the sight. This makes the sight wonderfully suited for dynamic shooting at moving targets, where we don't always have the opportunity to properly fold in for a shot.
The sight uses a 5.56 BDC reticle scaled to the ballistics of 5.56 NATO, .308 Win and 7.62×39 ammunition. The illuminated part of the sight's reticle is in the form of a horseshoe with a 1 MOA dot inscribed in the center, which allows us to locate the target instantly and move the aiming point between targets just as quickly. Underneath the horseshoe there is a scale with crossbars for applying fallout corrections and estimating the distance to the target. Simple and instinctive to use, the 5.56 BDC reticle is great for dynamic shooting at short range and precision shooting at medium range.
The target mark has 8 levels of daylight illumination and 2 night vision compatible settings. A popular CR2032 button battery is used to power the illumination. To extend the battery life, the manufacturer used the ShakeAwake motion-sensing controller, which automatically turns off the illumination of the aiming mark after prolonged immobility. When you move the weapon (with the sight mounted), the sensor instantly turns on the illumination, allowing you to use the sight again without having to take additional steps to operate the device.
The Hawke Prism Sight 6x36 5.56 BDC Dot comes with a generous set of accessories, i.e. 2 Weaver rail mounts (low and 1⁄3 Co-Witness), a rubber cover called bikini, Kill-Flash anti-reflective cover, Allen wrench and battery.
