Ballistol - oil for the care of metal, plastic and wood. It shows applications such as:
- for removing lead, copper and tombac from barrels and cartridge chambers in small arms for sealing and protecting wooden flasks
- for cleaning, softening and impregnating holsters, trousers and belts
- for neutralizing and removing acidic gunpowder residues
- at home, in the garden and for the car....
When emulsified with water, Ballistol exhibits a slight alkalinity (pH 8-8.5) and is thus able to neutralize acids. Unlike other such products of leading brands, Ballistol forms an aqueous emulsion, mixes with and penetrates water. Once the water evaporates, it remains in place and preserves. It does not undergo resinization.
This oil shows less susceptibility to aging and loss of effectiveness, compared to other commercially available technical oils that harden over time. This is all thanks to a specially developed formula that is an ideal combination of antioxidants along with therapeutic oils.
