Optima by Hatsan AT44S-10 5.5mm - pcp carbines valued for accuracy and great tuning possibilities
The Optima by Hatsan AT44S-10 carbine uses an ergonomic stock made of polymer, a material resistant to mechanical damage and weather conditions. The massive bed has a separate pistol grip and a symmetrical buttstock, which allows right- and left-handed shooters to use the carbine comfortably. There is fine texturing on the pistol grip and the front of the bed, which helps maintain control of the carbine. The Optima by Hatsan AT44S-10 carbine has a dual 11/22mm rail for an optical sight and a Picatinny rail on the bed that allows the use of additional shooting accessories such as a bipod or flashlight.
The flask can be adjusted to the shooter's build and preferences thanks to a height-adjustable footplate. Thanks to such functionality, the shooter can adjust the position of the foot depending on his physique, preferences and the height of the optics mount. The carbine uses a precision furrowed barrel as long as 585 mm ending in a chok (taper), which in the case of a long barrel provides better guidance and sealing of the shot in the barrel tube. The floating barrel is terminated with a 1/2" UNF thread allowing the installation of an exhaust device such as a sound moderator. The kit comes with adjustable targeting instruments with fiber optics, which can be removed from the air rifle if necessary.
To power the AT44S-10, a steel cartridge (with an option for replacement) with a capacity of 230 cc is used, which, when fully filled with air, allows the user to fire about 110 shots, depending on the caliber and the shotgun shell used. Thanks to the built-in pressure gauge, the user can easily control the pressure and remaining air supply. The Optima by Hatsan AT44S-10 pcp rifle uses an aluminum 10-shot magazine to feed the shot. Reloading and insertion of the shot into the chamber is carried out with a side-lever reloading action with smooth action characteristics. During this action, the magazine is rotated, the shotgun is inserted into the barrel, at the same time tensioning the cocking, which allows you to fire another shot.
The high accuracy of the air rifle is due, among other things, to the use of a two-stage Quattro Trigger with adjustment in 3 ranges. The user can independently define the length of the first and second paths, as well as the weight of the trigger, so already after a short shooting practice we can get a tight and satisfying focus on the target. The carbine has 2 mechanisms responsible for the safety of use: Anti-Knock System-mechanism that prevents uncontrolled firing in case of a fall or a large shock to the carbine, and an automatic safety located at the rear of the breech chamber.
Along with the carbine we receive a set of accessories: 2 10-shot magazines, a Quick-Fill charging plug, shoulder strap mounting buckles and a set of gaskets.
