TheWalther CP88 Competition 4.5mm Diabolo CO2 is a sporting air rifle with a threaded barrel that shoots diabolo pellets, equipped with a double-sided safety, a handle with non-slip linings and a striking compensator.
Heavy metal construction
The Walther CP88 Competition 4.5mm Diabolo CO2 is a faithful air replica of the German Walther P88 self-revolving pistol, prized for its high build quality and accuracy.
The revolver is characterized by excellent fit and finish of the construction, which is almost entirely (except for the handle facings) made of metal.
Like the original, the gun has a heavy metal construction, a double-sided safety lever, and a versatile SA/DA trigger mechanism with a tactile action.
Thepolymer grip linings have non-slip texturing and vertical grooves, which make the windcheater very comfortable and comfortable in almost any hand.
TheWalther CP88 Competition 4.5mm Diabolo CO2 has classic fixed-setsighting instruments, recommended for precision shooting and learning to shoot.
The pistol's lock, like the original, is ribbed in the front and rear, which was intended to facilitate reloading. All gun and militaria enthusiasts will be pleased to know that the licensed Walther manufacturer's markings were applied to the air rifle.
TheCompetition version of the Walther CP88 is equipped with a longer 5.5" barrel and a compensator, which provide better accuracy and give the air rifle a sporty feel.
Automatic reloading
The air rifle is powered by a 12gCO2 capsule, mounted in the handle. Compressed carbon dioxide gives the fired diabolo shots a velocity of up to 130 m/s and allows accurate shooting at a distance of about 25 m.
A good qualityCO2 cartridge allows you to fire about 60 aligned shots. The number of shots also depends on the air temperature, shooting dynamics and proper maintenance of the airgun. It is also important to remember that aCO2 capsule (punctured) can be left in the windgun for a maximum of 48 hours.
After this time, the capsule must be removed or "fired". Installation and replacement of the capsule are very simple, requiring only the removal of the lining, placing the capsule in the handle and tightening it with the pressure screw.
Precision of shooting
Thanks to the use of a long 5.5" threaded barrel, the pistol has been adapted to shoot classic 4.5 mm diabolo shot, which makes the airgun perfect for precision target shooting. The shotgun is loaded into a rotating 8-shot magazine mounted in the breech.
SA/DA trigger mechanism
The air rifle uses the SA/DA (single action/ double action) trigger mechanism, which allows shooting with the cock pulled back (shortened path and less resistance) or with self cocking (full trigger path, more resistance).
The advantage of this solution is that it allows both precision and dynamic shooting. When carrying or storing, the trigger mechanism can be locked with a double-sided external fuse convenient for both right- and left-handed people.
