TheGanzo Firebird FH13-SS is an everyday folding knife equipped with a D2 tool steel blade, a sturdy frame-lock and brushed stainless steel liners.
TheGanzo Firebird FH13-SS is a knife with a rustic design, achieved with a stonewashed finish on the head and handle.
The head, with a typically working drop-point profile (flat grind), has an optimal length of 87 mm, allowing the knife to cope with most of the tasks we will face on a daily basis. The blade is made of tough and durable D2 tool steel hardened to 58-60 HRC.
D2 is the most corrosion-resistant carbon steel, which features high resistance to abrasion, long maintenance of working sharpness and aggressive cutting. When sharpening, it is recommended to use diamond sharpeners, which significantly speed up the whole process.
For unfolding the blade with one hand there is a milled flipper, convenient for both right and left-handed people. Transverse cutters responsible for stable guidance of the blade and a solid grip are also used on the back of the blade (thumb ramp) and the liner spacer (backspacer).
When the blade is unfolded, it is locked by a monolithic frame-lock, a mechanism considered one of the strongest and most reliable in the world.
The handle of the knife is formed by simple stainless steel facings, which, like the blade, are finished using the stonewashed method. This procedure involves "bathing" in abrasive stones. On the stonewashed surface you can see fine scratches, which perfectly mask the scratches formed during use.
Despite the full steel construction, the knife weighs only 112 g, and its daily carrying does not cause discomfort. The contoured clip, which can be flipped to the other side, facilitates daily use.
