Product description

The German company, Walther, made its mark on the arms market for years with its classic design, dating back to World War II: the P-38 pistol and the PP family. The 1980s, however, saw a wave of "Miracle Nines" - classic, all-metal pistols for the 9 Para cartridge, with large, capacious magazines. Unfortunately, the Walther company did not "shoot" in this trend, which led to serious financial problems, as a result of which it was bought out in 1993 by the Umarex concern. The fashion for pistols with a plastic frame, initiated by Glock, was not ignored this time. Walther released its proposal for a "rubberized" pistol - the P99. In addition to the standard solutions for the new trend, the pistol was characterized by modern solutions original to Walther. This time it was a success. A hard-earned success, since even James Bond changed from the Walther PPK to the P99.
Umarex reached for a proven benchmark this time, too, to launch a CO2 air rifle that is a "replica" of the Walther P99. And just as the P99 was Walther's "revolution," the CP99 has become Umarex's "revolution." The Walther CP99 is not a mere repetition of the classic Umarex replica design (the "iron trinity": Walther CP88, Beretta 92, Colt 1911). As in previous windcheaters, the magazine for 8 rounds is inserted into a slot exposed by sliding forward the barrel. This time, however, the CO2 capsule is placed in a "frame" that slides into the grip just like a magazine - and just like a real magazine is released by a lever at the trigger. Pulling back the "breech" tightens the striker - and the lever on the frame, corresponding to the original, releases it without firing a shot (safety). In terms of reproduction of the operation of a real weapon, this is the best Umarex air rifle.

The Walther CP99 is also available in bicolor (with a silver-plated lock) and Snowstar (white) colors.

TheWalther CP99 4.5mm Diabolo CO2 is a modern air rifle with a threaded barrel that shoots diabolo shot, equipped with a decocker, a handle with replaceable liners and an adjustable safety.

A faithful replica of the

TheWalther CP99 4.5mm Diabolo CO2 is a faithful air replica of the German non-chicken Walther P99 pistol, which is also the primary pistol of the Polish Police.

The revolver is characterized by excellent fit and finish construction, in which we can distinguish the heavy metal lock (with the possibility of reloading) and polymer frame, referring to the construction of the original.

Like the original, the pistol has an enlarged breech, a magazine latch lever on both sides, a skeleton with an accessory rail, a functioning decocker and the ability to adjust the size of the grip with interchangeable caps.

Thepistol's grip has contoured finger cutouts and fine non-slip texturing identical to the texture of firearm linings. The grip size can be adjusted to the shooter's anatomy, thanks to the use of interchangeable grip pads.

The above-mentioned solutions make the air rifle fit very well and comfortably in almost any hand. The Walther CP99 4.5 mm Diabolo CO2 has classic fixed-set sighting instruments, recommended for precision shooting and learning to shoot.

The pistol's breech is ribbed at the rear for easy reloading. All gun and militaria enthusiasts will be pleased to know that the airgun bears the licensed markings of the manufacturer Walther.

Automatic reloading

The air rifle is powered by a 12gCO2 capsule, mounted in a metal magazine. The compressed carbon dioxide gives the fired diabolo shots a velocity of up to 120 m/s and allows accurate shooting at a distance of about 20 m.

A good qualityCO2 cartridge allows you to fire about 60 aligned shots. The number of shots also depends on the air temperature, shooting dynamics and proper maintenance of the airgun. It is also important to remember that aCO2 capsule (punctured) can be left in the windgun for a maximum of 48 hours.

After this time, the capsule must be removed or "shot". Installation and replacement of the capsule are very simple, requiring only inserting the capsule into the magazine and tightening it with the pressure screw.

Precision of shooting

Thanks to the use of a threaded barrel, the gun has been adapted to shoot classic 4.5mm diabolo shot, which makes the airgun great for precision target shooting. The shot is loaded into a rotating 8-shot magazine mounted in the breech.

Thanks to the double-sided magazine latch lever, the magazine change process is very convenient for both right- and left-handed users.

DAO trigger mechanism

The windcheater uses a DAO (double action only) trigger mechanism, which allows you to shoot using only self-trigger.

The advantage of this solution is, first of all, simple and instinctive operation, which makes the Walther CP99 4.5mm Diabolo CO2 air rifle great for those starting their adventure with air shooting.

When carrying or storing, the trigger mechanism can be locked with the external safety located on the right side of the frame.

Also borrowed from the weapon is the decocker mechanism, a button that allows you to safely release the tensioned trigger mechanism.
